Post LTM
Well today we had our first GMM post LTM, which was really successful in so many ways. We are accumulating some really great leeds that have the potential to be large scale relationships in the future. Also, we have made plans to try and hit the goal of 20 from each LC.
We are going to have 1 social event before the end of the semester, which looks as though it will be a cuban themed party of sorts. This event might even come packaged with a salsa lesson because a grad student that runs a salsa group on campus went to Brazil on an aiesec traineeship through Rutgers some years back.
Things seem to be prgressing very well and I really owe it all to the leadership of AIESEC Cornell and hugh quality members that we've recruited.
If the momentum stays at the current level, we could have a trainee or more on the ground here by next year, which is pretty fast growth for an LC without a constant stream of funds. As my man bone structure would say, "Hot Sauce!"
Now for bad news, I didn't get into birthright israel so no Nomad reunion for me. The next option would be to go work on my spanish in guatemala, but in the aftermath of LTM, i feel an obligation to go to WSC, which costs almost as much as going to guatemala. In some ways i feel like i might be sacrificing personal development opportunites for the good of my LC, and i'm not sure how i feel about that because it almost contradicts aiesec in some ways. I guess if a substantial number of people go from cornell I will go because I took on this leadership role as LCP and i have to see it through. I'm kind of using this as a public diary for all you voyeurs out there.
So much is going on that i can't get it all out. Anyways, more to come from me and cornell. Why you might ask. I'll tell you why...we keep it rolling here in ithaca. We approach business from a gangsta perspective al capone style.
One love!
